Meet Mike Stringer

I have been involved in the Linedance industry since March 1990, first as a Dancer, Instructor, Choreographer and Event Organiser.
When my mother paid me £5 to accompany her to a class as her friend was ill, I would never have imagined that almost 30 years later, I would still be taking to the floor.
I have been a qualified Linedance Instructor since 1998, and have over the years run several classes.

I currently run two classes in Rhyl and Anglesey which I have been running for 16 and 5 years retrospectively.
When I am not at class or a social, my days are filled with looking after and providing for my 6 husky dogs (all one family…..Aunt, Mother & Father and three boys), my 30 chickens (some of which I show), my 2 ferrets, 2 cats and 5 cockatiels. As you can imagine they certainly keep me on my toes and my whit´s sharp!

I also work part time in a local retail outlet.

The highlight of my career, and the best part of it, is the amazing friends and extended family I have met and made through the Linedance world. As my Grandad used to always say…you can never have to many friends.
I was born in July 1982, and was brought up in Rhyl, North Wales where I lived most of my life. I moved to Holyhead in Nov 2011 where I currently reside with my partner Darren and our family of pets!
